The Group needs two parents to fill vacancies and help out on Group Committee to support all the scout sections of First Waverley. Group Committee only meets every 6 weeks for an hour or two, and will meet at a time and place to suit the members. If your parents are able to help out, please have them phone Skip (Doug Wilson) on 9802.8842

Next week we will be meeting with the cubs and doing lots of activities based on fire - fire lighting, cooking, bonfires and more. Come along and join in the fun at 7pm on Thursday.

This week the scouts are off to the Gang Show. Watch out for Ben Stannard's starring role in the chorus and Akela hiding in the wings.

The overnight hike will run over the weekend of 22^th and 23^rd May. Contact Phantom if you have changed your mind and want to attend.

For those of you unable or unwilling to attend the whole weekend for the overnight hike, we now have another option. If you are interested in a day walk/hike at Poweltown in conjunction with the overnight party please contact Phantom or Cyclo NOW. We'll travel up with the overnighters on Saturday 22^nd May, but will return in time for Tea, instead of camping out.

Details of scout ski in the next school holidays are in "Kaboom" handed out to patrol leaders last week. If you are interested in attending, please contact Cyclo and we will co-ordinate a troop entry.

Also in Kaboom are details of Deep Space 99 to be held in Canberra in the 2^nd week of the September School holidays. If you are interested in attending please contact Phantom ASAP, as entries close soon

Ticket Stubs and your $20 are now well OVERDUE. Contact Phantom NOW if you have not returned your tickets. If you have failed to return the tickets, you are now causing major inconvenience to your scouting colleagues.
You are failing the Scout Law and are not being considerate.

The roster is finally out! If you missed out last week, please collect your copy tonight. If your rostered time does not suit, please arrange your own swap. Scouts are expected to assist their families with cleaning. Remember, if you misplace your copy of the roster, it is available (without phone numbers) on the Web site.
